APOST Lights on Afterschool Mini-Grants
Celebrate with us all week long from October 19 - 23!
APOST celebrates Lights On Afterschool by awarding mini-grant funds to local OST programs to hold an event or project that showcases their program and the value of OST.
Applications are due by 5pm on September 22
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to receive an APOST LOA Mini-Grant:
Organizations must be located within Allegheny County
Organizations must qualify as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
A maximum of one award will be given per event/project. If organizations will be operating events at separate locations, organization must apply for each one in separate application submissions.
Organization must submit a completed application by 5pm on Thursday, Sept. 22
Project Requirements
Awarded projects must meet the following requirements:
Event/Project must take place within the week of Monday, Oct. 19 - Friday, Oct. 24, 2026
Event/Project must be submitted to the Lights On Afterschool National Event Directory by Monday, Oct. 12 (further instructions and details for completing this will be provided)
Share at least one photo of the event/project with APOST that can be shared publicly (further instructions and details for completing this will be provided)
Awardee Benefits
Organizations with awarded events/projects will receive the following:
$500 to implement the submitted event or project
APOST staff may attend event or participate in project
Chance to be spotlighted via News You Can Use newsletter and/or APOST website
